So here goes...

This is the first contest entry i've ever done (for dA) that was specifically made for said contest.

This is my entry for *mizzd-stock and =ehtele-stock's 'The Dragon Wars' Contest!

I really don't care about winning too much. The prizes are pretty nice (though i can't stand the idea of getting a 3 month or smaller sub! get it just long enough to know what i've been missing all this time?! no thanks), the special stock would be nifty... But i'm not in it for the prizes.

I just liked the idea for the contest, and figured i have not done any photomanip type stuff in a while, and i got inspired. Took me a long time to actually sit down and do it (after mapping out the main idea for the image). But i pretty much did it all today.

And i had fun with it!

I was not sure if i wanted to have her healing or casting a protection spell of sorts on the dragon. But i decided on protection spell, mostly cause i didn't want to try and make the dragon apear to be hurt. And as i worked on it today it just kinda came out that way.

I don't really like it being a square image, but that's how it came out (didn't plan too well) and i can't justify cutting any of the image off.

I kinda think it's too busy of an image, but i am really not sure how to fix that without loosing something... Hrm...

And the caption pretty much explains it all, "dragons have guardian angels" too.

Any comments, or constructive crits welcome. Been a long time since i have done photomanip, and i have never done this much before!

(everything other than the main figures were done with brushes and my own other means)
